How Roos Photography started
How it began
Typical mom, 3 boys who keep me extremely busy with school and sports and a great hubs. Then one day I get a phone call, it's my dad. He has terrible news that he has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer...he had battled cancer once before... won... and another form had developed. I was devastated and in a panic. We were able to spend the next few days with dad and 9 days after getting the news heaven received a very talented and too young dad and grandpa. Not knowing what I would do next and attempting to sort thru dads things with my brother and sister I found out that dad wanted me to have all of his photography equipment....a lot was even still film! I brought it home and tucked it deep into my storage room, safe until someone would come along who had a clue what to do with all of it. I even carried the camera and manual on our next vacation but was way too overwhelmed to understand these "technical" terms! It was when my husband Jim told me that my dad left me all of this stuff intentionally. Dad knew that eventually I would figure it all out and love it. He knew that although I love dedicating my life to family I quite possibly needed something else to conquer. Well well...oh dad was right! His talent and ability to learn something new is absolutely inspiring to me. and so it began
