The Family Session.

So What is Lifestyle Photography? Every photographer has a different definition of this but here is mine. When my kids brought home a piece of artwork from school and they were so excited to show me I immediately put it on the fridge, because it was a great piece of artwork? sadly no, but because it made my heart so happy to see them excited and proud and want to share that with me. Years later when that same piece of artwork came to for a grad party book I can remember the moment.....not the artwork but the moment. That moment is what I want to create, along with beautiful photos of course!

So we know that kids will be kids (and dads will be dads) am I right moms?! Here comes the lifestyle piece, we all have the genuine laugh and the look in our eyes when we have pure joy, a little sappy I know but if we take the time to slow down and take it in we have it. Slowing down and just enjoying the moment is what I want your family to be focusing on during your session. I promise I will give you instruction and have activities for the kids to distract them and make them forget that this is still family photo day. There will be some games, funny things to answer, and even a couple "make you laughs" for mom and dad. Family sessions will always include posed photos as well, but my experience has proven that to get those photos a few relaxing and laughing photos have to come first.

Family photos can still be stressful, from the first steps of choosing outfits and a location to choosing a wall display or a Christmas card and everything in between I will be here to help!
